Notifications:


1. App notification not shown on Android 9 device?

Why do I only receive notification once I open the app in Android?

Some Android devices optimize battery for all apps by blocking some services to save power and extend battery life. As this is a device-specific setting, TimelyBills cannot display a notification when its background service is stopped.

To fix this, we need to change a few settings on your Android smartphone:

  1. Enable autostart for the TimelyBills app
  2. Enable notifications for the app
  3. Allow the app to run in the background

These settings differ from device to device.

To enable TimelyBills notifications on OnePlus smartphones:
  • Go to your phone’s Settings.
  • Tap on Apps and then Application List.
  • Scroll down to locate TimelyBills and tap on it.
  • Tap on Notifications and ensure that it is enabled.
  • In the same screen, tap on Battery.
  • Tap on Battery Optimization.
  • Scroll down to locate TimelyBills and tap on it.
  • Select Don’t Optimize and tap on Done.
To enable TimelyBills notifications on Xiaomi smartphones:
  • Launch the Security app on your phone.
  • Tap on Manage apps, search for TimelyBills, and tap on it.
  • Check if autostart is enabled for TimelyBills. If not, enable it.
  • In the same screen, tap on Notifications.
  • Ensure that Show notifications is turned on.
  • Slide the toggles to enable Priority, Floating notifications, and Lock screen notifications.
  • Go back and tap on Battery saver.
  • Select No restrictions.
To enable TimelyBills notifications on Samsung smartphones:
  • Go to your phone’s Settings.
  • Tap on Apps, scroll down to locate TimelyBills and tap on it.
  • Under Notifications, ensure that the toggle is set to ON.
  • Go back to the Apps screen.
  • Tap the menu button on the top-right and select Special access.
  • Tap on Optimize battery usage.
  • Scroll down to locate TimelyBills and toggle the slider to OFF.
  • Go back to the phone’s Settings, tap on Device Maintenance and then Battery.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the list and tap on Unmonitored Apps.
  • Tap on Add Apps and select TimelyBills.
  • Once the TimelyBills app has been selected, tap on Done.
To enable TimelyBills notifications on Motorola smartphones:
  • Go to your phone’s Settings.
  • Tap on Apps, scroll down to locate TimelyBills and tap on it.
  • Under Notifications, ensure that the toggle is set to ON.
  • Go back to the Settings screen and tap on Battery.
  • Tap the menu button on the top-right and select Battery optimization.
  • Select All Apps from the dropdown and scroll down to locate TimelyBills.
  • Tap on TimelyBills, select Don’t Optimize, and tap on Done.
To enable TimelyBills notifications on Lenovo smartphones:
  • Go to your phone’s Settings.
  • Tap on Apps, scroll down to locate TimelyBills and tap on it.
  • Under Notifications, ensure that the toggle is set to ON.
  • Tap on Battery, and then tap on Battery optimization.
  • Select Don’t Optimize, and tap on Done.

Trouble in account activation and sign in:


2. When  Activating an account, error is coming “Account is Already Active”

  • This might be because you might have activated the account already,
  • Please try login in to App with your email id and password
  • If your password does not work, use ‘Forgot Password’ link to reset the password
  • It will send an email link to reset the password.
  • If still not working, please contact at support@timelybills.app

3. When trying to sign in, getting error “No account found for provided email”

  • Please check your email address, It might not be correct or may have some typo.
  • Please check if you have signed up for TimelyBills account. If not, then do the sign up first and try again.
  • If still not working, please contact at support@timelybills.app

4. Did not receive account activation email after signup

  • Please check, you provided correct email id during signup.
  • Please check, you might have received the activation email in the the SPAM folder.
  • You can resend activation email. Go to ‘Account’ screen in APP and there  click on ‘Resend email’ link.
  • If still not working, please contact at support@timelybills.app\

5. I have signed up using wrong email id  

  • Please sign up again with your correct email id. Please double check your email before clicking on ‘Sign up’ button.
  • Go to ‘Account’ screen in APP and there click on ‘Sign up’ link

6. How to delete my account and data from TimelyBills.

  • Go to ‘Account’ screen in APP, scroll down to bottom and  click on ‘DELETE ACCOUNT’ link.
  • Confirm deletion of your account by providing your password.

7.How to add or edit the category

  • Go to App ‘Settings’.
  • Tap on ‘Categories’
  • To create new category, tap on ‘+’ icon in top right.
  • To edit the existing category, tap on (edit) icon
  • You can change the category name, icon and color

8. How to generate the monthly or date wise statement of my income and expenses.

  • Login to your account in the app.
  • Go to ‘Reports’ screen
  • It will go to Expenses tab by default
  • Slide in left side until ‘Statement’ tab is appeared
  • Provide ‘From Date’ and ‘To Date’ for which statement needs to be generated
  • Click on ‘SEND OVER EMAIL’
  • Check your registered email after couple of minutes.
